Awkwafina
Awkwafina is an American actor and musician who made her name with innovative raps which addressed sexuality and racial identities with a boldly comic perspective. Her career then grew into Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Korean immigrants living in Forest Hills Queens. Her first experience with music came via the trumpet. Later, she began the classical and hip-hop genres. While in her schooling, she specialized in women's studies and journalism. She studied Mandarin briefly in Beijing. It wasn't until after graduating that she shifted her focus towards music. Her 2012 track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet before settling on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. It also included viral hits including body-positive Queef and a wink-y home tour NYC BitcheUSD. The track that was published specifically linked to the album Awkwafinas NYC, her guide to travel in 2015. She opted to pursue acting careers after completing her first two endeavors, author and musician. Apart from the early television shows such as Girl Code and Tawk, she's also appeared in movies like Neighbors2Storks, and Bad Rap. In 2018 she was able to land major roles in a variety of high-profile films like Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she debuted her EP "In Fina We Trust".
