Anamaria Martinca is an actor from Romania. Her debut on screen was with the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic and was the recipient of the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. She speaks fluently French, German and English. Her father is a theater professor at one of Romania's most prestigious acting schools. She won the Best Female Actor Award for the Year 2000 in the Gala for Young Actors in Mangalia. In 2008 The European Film Promotion Board recognized her as the first European Shooting Star. In 2007, she was in as a character in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 weeks si2 zile (4 Three Weeks, Four Months 3 Weeks, 2 Days) 4 months 3 weeks 2 days, directed produced by Cristian Mungiu. The film won two awards at Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Also, she was in the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008, Marinca portrayed Yasim in BBC's five-episode The Last Enemy. Marinca has appeared in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. She played Irma on Fury 2014 in which she portrayed an German named aunt to Emma.
